Our Mission
Salty Pilgrims Freediving is Nelson Bay & Newcastle's leading Freediving school, and in the last 3 years of operating has developed a large and fast-growing community of freedivers, spearfishers and more confident water people, and has taught over 1000 freedivers in this time.
Our mission is to connect people with the ocean and with themselves, and to help people to achieve things in the water they didn't know were possible.
Freediving has changed our lives, and we hope to help give people tools so it can enhance as many lives as possible.
We teach Molchanovs Wave 1, Wave 2 and Wave 3 freediving courses locally in Nelson Bay, and on our retreats in Fiji, the Gili Islands in Indonesia and the Solomon Islands.
Our team of instructors specialise in solving equalisation issues, and we can guarantee that we will go above and beyond to help you work through any issues with equalisation that you're experiencing.
We are so passionate about delivering the best possible freediving courses in Australia and overseas, and pride ourselves on the level of safety, fun and learning that students who join us on a course experience.
Our freediving and spearfishing instructors have been taught by the world's best have a combined 50+ years experience with both freediving and spearfishing, and can comfortably dive to depths past 55 metres.
We understand that everyone learns at different paces, and we are dedicated to making your freediving experience with us unforgettable and life changing.
